Terms of Service
Last updated 27 June 2026
These Terms govern your use of Synca’s website, apps, and services (the “Service”), provided by Synca Ltd. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
This is a starting template and not legal advice — please have it reviewed by a qualified solicitor and complete the bracketed details before relying on it.
1. About Synca
Synca is a platform that connects customers with independent businesses (salons, barbers, and wellness providers) so customers can discover and book appointments and the businesses can manage their schedules and payments. Synca is not the provider of the services you book — the business is.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your login secure. You must notify us of any unauthorised use.
3. Bookings
When you book through Synca, you enter into an agreement directly with the business for the service. The business is responsible for providing the service and for its quality. Service descriptions, prices, and availability are set by the business.
4. Payments, deposits, and fees
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. A business may require a deposit or full payment to secure a booking, and may charge a no-show or late-cancellation fee in line with its policy, which is shown before you confirm.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund terms are set by each business and shown at the time of booking. Refund requests should be raised with the business; Synca can help facilitate but is not a party to the underlying service contract.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully or fraudulently.
- Post false, abusive, or infringing content or reviews.
- Interfere with, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
- Misuse another person’s account or data.
7. Businesses listed on Synca
Businesses are responsible for their listings, services, pricing, staff, compliance, and for the accuracy of information they publish. Additional terms apply to business accounts, including platform and payment fees as described during onboarding.
8. Intellectual property
Synca and its logos, software, and content are owned by Synca Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission. You retain rights to content you submit, granting us a licence to operate the Service.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, Synca is not liable for the acts or omissions of businesses, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms; the latest version will always be posted here. Questions? Email support@synca.org.uk.
